Summer Camp at Alcuin Montessori School for 1st through 6th Grades: June 10 - August 9, 2024
Have your children experience "Fun with a Purpose!" this summer at Alcuin Montessori School. Take advantage of an enjoyable summer program that provides the rewards of a Montessori approach to learning with a big helping of summer fun. Whether your child is new to Montessori or a pro, this camp is a great way for them to discover, learn and grow in a safe and fun environment. All children must bring their own lunch. Camp hours will be 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. with before care (8:00-9:00 a.m.) and after care (4:00-5:00 p.m.), for an additional fee, available.

There is a $25 cancellation fee for each session that is canceled or changed.

Session 1 June 10-14, $500
Nature Art and Outdoor Fun: Come enjoy a week of outdoor fun and make nature-inspired art! We’ll go on forest adventures and experiment with the creative potential of twigs, seed pods, petals, and leaves. Led by Sophia Lyman
Session 2 June 17-21(4-day camp) no school June 19th, $400
Dumplings Around the World: Dumplings are a part of many different cultures worldwide. They can be sweet or savory and be served as an appetizer, main dish, or dessert. Come and learn how to make these tasty treats. Your taste buds will thank you! Led by Jorge Anaya
Session 3 June 24-27 (4-day camp) no school June 28th, $400 FULL
Fishing 101: Grab your fishing pole and tackle box! Join in on learning the basics of how to fish and beyond. Field trips to different fishing spots in the Chicago area will be from Tuesday to Thursday. Led by Nicole Cochrane
Session 4 July 8-12, $500
Chicago is Known for…: There are many things that make Chicago great. If you want to learn more about Chicago and what makes it so great, this is the camp for you. We’ll learn how to make Chicago-style pizza, and so much more! Led by Gloria Dominguez
Session 5 July 15-19, $500
Build Your Own City: Calling all budding architects, let’s design and build a city! You’ll notice buildings, parks, museums, and more when traveling through any city. Come and use your creative skills to design your ideal city. Led by Jorge Anaya
Session 6 July 22-26, $500
Let’s Make a Music Video!: Dust off your dancing shoes and bust out your glitter gear because we're making a music video! Campers will plan, design, and film their own original music video. The week will culminate with a (virtual) red carpet-premiere! Led by Claire Saxe
Session 7 July 29- Aug 2, $500
Africa is not a Country: Did you know there are 54 countries in Africa? Come and learn more about this diverse, beautiful, and massive continent. We’ll explore biomes, art, food, music, and more! Led by Heather Rivera
Session 8 Aug 5- Aug 9, $500 FULL
Forest Preserve Explorers and Fishing Camp: Do you love playing in the woods? Do you love spending all day outside on a warm summer day? Do you love to play in streams? Grab your bug spray and sunscreen, and join us this week! Each day, we will explore a different forest preserve in the Chicagoland area. Led by Nicole Cochrane
