Day House (Before & After School Care) at Alcuin Montessori School

We understand the need for families with dual-working parents to have a safe and trustworthy place for their child to stay, either before or after school.  A bit of fun is also a plus!  Our Day House program (for ages 3 to 12) is a nurturing safe environment incorporating Montessori principles with a before and after school program.  This program is for children currently enrolled at Alcuin.

Day House is offered in several options:
  • Before school care (for ages 3-12) is Monday through Friday, 7:15 to 8:30 a.m.
  • Afternoon Day House (for children ages 3 and 4) is Monday through Friday, 11:30 to 3:00 p.m.
  • Evening Day House (for children ages 3-12) is Monday through Friday, 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Overseen by a Montessori-trained teacher, the Day House programs provide a home-like atmosphere in which younger and older children participate together in the care of the environment and various activities such as preparation of snack, arts & crafts, games, time in the playground, and more.

The ground rules include respect for others and the environment, cooperative behavior, independent self-care and polite social interactions.
