Tour: Infants + Toddlers
Tour: For Ages 3 - 14

Academic excellence starts with a love of learning.

Times are changing, but our core values remain the same.  In Alcuin Montessori School's safe environment, children gain the confidence they need to optimize their full potential.  We offer education for life.

At Alcuin, children learn at their own pace, immersing in subjects and activities designed to develop much more than academic skills. They develop a love of learning that prepares them to excel in the next level of education and beyond.  It's no surprise that a large percentage of our graduates take advanced placement courses in high school.  Learn more >>

Our daughter has been attending the Roosevelt Campus toddler program since the fall. She has become so confident and independent since she started at Alcuin. We are so happy with her progress and highly recommend the program to other parents!" - An Alcuin Parent.

Teachers report that our son has been adjusting to academic expectations at Lake Forest Academy quite well. So far he has had outstanding academic work. In his first semester he made it to Head of the School List with a GPA greater than 3.78 out of 4.00, and he was nominated by two teachers for the Academic Performance List."  - An Alcuin parent
HIGH SCHOOL ACCEPTANCE INFO...

Your child is more than a student to us.

Alcuin Montessori School's carefully prepared learning environment and approach are designed to support your child’s academic, emotional and social development. We thank Alcuin's Middle School program for preparing our child to excel at both the academics and time-management skills required in high school, but it's really her sense of urgency and purpose that gives us the greatest peace and pride in watching her slay the dragons and joyfully conquer the challenges of high school.” - An Alcuin parent

Here, children learn, lead and collaborate.

Alcuin's highly skilled and experienced Montessori-trained teachers follow a proven methodology
that centers on observation to learn about and teach to your child's strengths and style. In our
multi-age classrooms, younger children also learn from their older peers, who reinforce their own
knowledge, build confidence and develop leadership skills by teaching others. Learn more >>
Montessori vs TRADITIONAL SCHOOLS
So far, she's rocking straight A's and a fantastic work-life balance. Thanks to years of multi-age classrooms, she's skipped over the awkwardness and insecurities so many freshman girls experience and has developed a well-rounded group of friends that includes sophomores and juniors.”  - An Alcuin parent

This is education for life.

Alcuin-educated children are confident, compassionate, respectful and tolerant of others. They are self-aware and disciplined, comfortable in conversations with adults and highly competent in academics. The vast majority move on to success in the next stops on their educational journey and ultimately in their careers and personal lives. They have learned how to learn. Learn More>>

Alcuin Alumni
Alcuin equipped me with all the tools I needed to succeed in high school. I am in the middle of studying for arduous IB exams, working on my valedictorian speech for my graduation and dancing five days a week to prepare for my upcoming show! And next fall, I will be attending Barnard College, my first choice!” - An Alcuin alumnus

Seeing is believing.

Picture
Alcuin Montessori is a safe, calm and ordered refuge that provides the ideal learning environment in an increasingly chaotic, fast-moving, filled-with-dangers-and-distractions world. But words cannot adequately describe this environment. It must be experienced to be understood.

We invite you to learn more. You will see it. You will feel it. And you will believe.
