What are the 50/50 Raffle and Silent Auctions, and how do they work?
The Silent Auction
Want to partake in an exciting community auction? We'll have a variety of themed-baskets that Alcuin families have created for you, designer items, sports tickets, and dinner parties to bid on that night. Bid and win! All winning bidders will take their items home that night. Winning bids may be paid for by credit card, check, or cash.
The 50/50 Raffle
Tickets will be on sale before the night of the party. The more tickets you buy, the bigger the pot will become. The winner of the raffle that night is guaranteed half of the total pot. Tickets will be on sale this week and will be sold one for $50 or three for $100. Look for the link coming this week!
What should I wear?
Wear what you would on a typical evening out. Some people come in cocktail attire, and others come in jeans -- whatever makes you happy and comfortable for a night on the town.
What is the online auction?
Get your virtual paddles ready for the online auction. The online auction is a fun eBay-style auction where you can bid on a myriad of items. The online auction begins Tuesday, February 11, at 8:00 a.m. and closes on Thursday, February 20, at 10:00 p.m.
You're sure to find something fabulous for yourself or that unique gift for that someone special. There are art projects created by the children in each classroom, Cubs and Sox tickets, overnight stays, museum tickets, shopping parties, teacher outings with your child, and much more. Item previews will begin soon! And the best part? Members outside of the Alcuin community can also join in on the fun. Aunts, uncles, grandparents, and friends can also bid on the online auction.
We are still looking for auction items big and small. If you have something you'd like to donate, click on our online donation form.
