Four Weeks. One Goal. We're ALL IN.

Picture

ALL IN launches October 19th! Join us for four weeks to make a difference.

Alcuin Montessori’s mission is to empower our children's inherent love of learning, inspiring and challenging each child to engage with the world as an independent thinker, creative problem-solver, and compassionate citizen.

Every day, Alcuin lives its mission. We see it in the faces of our students, from the youngest infant discovering their independence to the oldest middle schooler examining their place in the world. Your support strengthens our mission for all Alcuin students—past and present—and will help them grow into caring, empathetic leaders creating positive change in the world.

In today's tumultuous landscape, compassion and education are more important than ever. They are key to our understanding and humanity.  Now is the time to show we’re
ALL IN.

Why It Matters

Picture
When you give to the Annual Fund and go ALL IN, you’re supporting the children, the community, and the future. Being ALL IN allows us to foster the unique Alcuin community, grounded in empathy, inclusion, and Education for Life. Your generosity creates positive change that will be felt today and in the years to come. Philanthropic support strengthens our mission for all Alcuin students (past and present) and will help them change the future for the better and ensure we can continue our vital work.

Your gift ensures we can continue our vital work. Families who donate will be celebrated in our Annual Report and by the community. By uniting and giving, we can continue our mission for our children and tomorrow.

Alcuin families have four weeks to make their pledges or gifts and be
ALL IN for our school. You’ll have an opportunity to be ALL IN from October 19 through November 13.

ALL IN for Alcuin

We hope you won’t just fulfill a one-time gift, but instead to reflect on what being an Alcuin family means and the beautiful change that Alcuin strives to make in our community.  A gift that is meaningful to you is a statement that you believe in our mission.  Every gift helps sustain the people, programs, and opportunities that make the Alcuin community a truly special one.

Your impact will enhance programs, improve the school environment, and provide socioeconomic diversity. Simply put, annual giving is our most important source of non-tuition income.

What does ALL IN support?
Tuition only covers 80% of the actual per-student cost at Alcuin. Being ALL IN for Alcuin bridges that gap and provides the critical difference needed to educate each Alcuin student while balancing the budget. Donations made to the Alcuin annual fund support our total expenditures for the year. But what does that mean?  Where does your gift go?

As a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, Alcuin Montessori is primarily funded by tuition and fees, which are used to finance operating costs such as programs, staff salaries, and maintenance of our facilities, among other things. 60% goes toward operational expenses, 28% to financial aid, and 12% to enrichment and classroom materials.

Operational Expenses - It also allows us to give our faculty and staff competitive salaries and generous benefits that promote teacher retention.

It Helps Provide Teachers’ Professional Development - Parent generosity ensures our teachers have access to current, high-quality professional development training. This helps keep Alcuin competitive and most importantly means the children have the best education Montessori can offer.

It Allows for Special Projects -  A generous donation from parents means the school can plan for larger projects that improve the daily educational experience of every child. In the past, projects have included supplying new science equipment and books to all classrooms, updating our libraries, replacing the carpets, and installing a brand-new playground.

It Secures the Future - The Board of Trustees has a mandate to secure the economic future of the school and by carefully managing these funds, we can be sure that we remain stable and sustainable.

Financial Aid -  At Alcuin, we value each member of our community and the unique contribution each student makes to our collective excellence. A commitment to inclusion is an essential element of Alcuin’s educational philosophy and school culture. Economic diversity enriches the educational opportunity for all families and participation of a wide range of families is critical to the health of the school.

Because Alcuin is committed to remaining accessible and affordable to families from a wide range of economic backgrounds, we use a sliding-scale tuition model that applies a tuition range based on each family’s individual circumstances. Being
ALL IN helps facilitate this!

Enrichment and Classroom materials - Students at Alcuin receive a top-notch enrichment education founded in collaboration, creativity, and centered on the whole child. We integrate theater, swimming, music, and art in a way that honors the three-hour morning work cycle and supports the classroom curriculum without disrupting it.
