Supporting AlcuinAs an independently funded school, we rely upon the generosity of our parents, grandparents, alumni and friends to raise much-needed funds that will support the school and help us provide a unique program of social and academic preparation for our students. Tuition covers only a percentage of Alcuin’s operating expenses. Donations to Alcuin allow us to keep tuition costs as low as possible by bridging the gap in the operating budget, and these essential funds help us enrich the school’s educational efforts.There are many ways to show your support of Alcuin. Annual Fund A responsibility of each Alcuin family is to make a contribution to the school. We count on our friends and families to support the school’s efforts to deliver high quality “Education for Life”. During the 2007-08 school year, we were pleased to see participation in the Annual Fund by our Board of Directors, faculty, staff, current and past parents, grandparents, alumni and friends. Gifts may be made by cash, check, credit card, or gifts of stocks and securities. If you work for an employer who participates in a matching gift program, you can effectively double your gift by including your company’s matching gift form with your donation. Gala and Auction In-kind Donations We welcome in-kind gifts that support the classrooms and educational curriculum as well as donations of professional services for our school. Each classroom puts together a Wish List of items that would be beneficial for the class but are not part of the teacher’s classroom budget. Examples of in-kind donations welcomed include:
